Erica Margareta C E Löfström is an Assistant Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), holding joint appointments in the Department of Design and the Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on Radical Innovation for Sustainable Futures, with expertise in eco-visualization, provotyping, and participatory design methodologies. She explores how design and technology can drive systemic changes toward a low-carbon society, emphasizing disruptive communication and co-creation with stakeholders. Her academic background bridges Computer Science and Science-Technology Studies (STS), enabling interdisciplinary approaches to environmental communication. Key projects include Nature In Your Face (NIYF) , INCITE-DEM (democratic innovation), and CLEANcultures (climate action in neighborhoods). Dr. Löfström holds a PhD in Technology and Social Change from Linköping University (2008). Her supervision includes ongoing PhD projects on sustainability narratives, eco-visualization for zero-emission neighborhoods, and climate action participation.
