Hisain Elshaafi is a Lecturer in the Department of Computing at SETU Carlow. His research focuses on ICT security, privacy, trust, and service composition. He holds a PhD from Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) and has contributed to EU-funded projects like sTRUST and CoMiFin. His work emphasizes composite service trustworthiness, security metrics, and critical infrastructure protection. His projects address challenges in distributed systems reliability, multi-tenant service trust, and cost-effective security frameworks. Recent work explores multi-agent smart grid architectures and collaborative trust assessment.
