Gueorgui (George) Nikolov is an Instructor in the Faculty of Business and Professional Studies at Capilano University, teaching computer applications and quantitative methods. He holds a PhD in Economics and Marketing from the University of London (1998) and an M.Sc.-equivalent degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia (1981). His work applies advanced mathematical, statistical, and econometric techniques such as linear programming and Granger-causality analysis. His publications focus on market information systems, agricultural policy, and technology integration in farming. His 15 most recent articles (1983–2000) explore topics like optimizing farm machinery, automating agricultural management, and aligning Bulgarian agricultural policies with EU standards. Key subfields include economic transition, data-driven decision-making, and policy development in agriculture. Nikolov has received two national awards in Bulgaria for his research contributions (1988, 1989). He combines his passion for education and technology to support student success in business and tourism management courses.
