Stelios Psarakis is a Professor in the Department of Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business , where he has held academic appointments since 1997. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of Statistical Documentation Research and Analysis . Academic Appointments: Professor (2015–present), Associate Professor (2009–2015), Assistant Professor (2003–2009), Lecturer (1997–2003). Education: B.Sc. in Mathematics (1986) from University of Crete, Ph.D. in Statistics (1993) from Athens University of Economics and Business. His research focuses on Statistical Quality Control , Design and Analysis of Experiments , and Quantitative Methods . He has supervised 52 M.Sc. dissertations in Statistics (part-time program, 2002–2015) and Ph.D. theses on topics such as control charts, process capability indices, and statistical surveillance. He teaches courses including Descriptive Statistics , Statistical Quality Control , and Sampling Techniques at both undergraduate and graduate levels across departments like Statistics, Marketing and Communication, Business Administration, Informatics, and Accounting and Finance. Editorial roles include membership on the boards of Austin Journal of Business Administration and Management (since 2017), Quality Engineering (since 2016), and Statistics Views (since 2016).
