Vitaly Shmatikov is a professor of computer science at Cornell Tech and the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science . Prior to his current position, he worked at the University of Texas at Austin and SRI International. His research focuses on digital privacy , computer security , and security and privacy issues in machine learning . Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science and M.S. in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University Teaching: Offers courses like CS 5435 Security & Privacy Concepts in the Wild Shmatikov's research has received multiple accolades, including the Caspar Bowden PET Award three times and Test-of-Time Awards from leading IEEE and ACM symposiums.
