Freddy Lim Jie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics at the National University of Singapore (School of Computing). Prior to academia, he worked in banking and aerospace industries in quantitative roles. His work examines consumer behavior on digital platforms, loyalty programs, and judgment under uncertainty. Methodologically, he uses econometrics, Bayesian modeling, and machine learning to analyze firm-level data. Recent Research Trends: His publications analyze how consumers interact with mixed currency systems (e.g., loyalty points + cash), contributing to theories of mental accounting and algorithmic pricing strategies. This aligns with broader themes in digital transformation and platform economics.
