Associate Professor
Dr. Olga Shemyakina is an Associate Professor and Director of Doctoral Programs at the School of Economics, Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on the microeconomic impacts of armed conflict and natural disasters on individual and household decisions regarding education, healthcare, migration, and labor markets. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California (2007) and has been a Senior Affiliate with the Households in Conflict Network (HiCN) since 2007 and an IZA Research Fellow since 2014.
