Assistant Professor
Sinan Erensü is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and teaches courses including Environment and Society, Social Movements, Urban Sociology, and Power and Inequality. His research is supported by major grants such as TÜBİTAK 1001 and the H2020 ERC Starting Grant. Research Interests: His work centers on Political Ecology, Environmental Sociology, Urban Studies, and Climate Change , with a focus on energy and water infrastructures, urban informality, and social movements in Turkey. He critically examines neoliberal urbanization, environmental justice, and the socio-political dimensions of energy transitions.
