Dr Maxime Lallement is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University. His research focuses on biopolitics, 20th-century French philosophy (notably Foucault, Canguilhem, and Deleuze), normativity, and the intersections of resilience and sustainability. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Manchester Metropolitan University, alongside MA and BA degrees in Philosophy and English Studies from the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (France). Lallement serves as Philosophy Independent Project Coordinator, Philosophy Disability Departmental Coordinator, and HPP Foundation Year Tutor. His teaching emphasizes engaging with philosophical texts through real-world problems, fostering critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. His publications explore themes like post-Brexit migration resilience, biopolitical sovereignty, and Levinasian ethics, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to continental philosophy.
