Shail Mayaram is Professor at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies , New Delhi, with a transdisciplinary focus spanning history, anthropology, political philosophy, and religious studies. She currently serves as Chair of the Academic Advisory Board at the University of Heidelberg's Käte Hamburger Centre for Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Studies (2020-24), and previously co-directed the Merian-Tagore International Centre for Advanced Studies in Humanities (2018-19).
