Ingela Holmström is a full-time Professor at the Department of Linguistics , Stockholm University , specializing in Swedish Sign Language (STS) and bilingualism . She serves as Head of the Sign Language Department and leads multiple research initiatives including the MULDER project (2024) on deaf migrants' multilingual situation , the LäsTecken project on deaf children's reading development , and the UTL2 project examining STS as a second language for hearing students .
