Randa L. Shehab serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development at the University of Oklahoma's Gallogly College of Engineering. She previously directed the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (2006–2016) and co-founded the OU Data Science and Analytics MS Program. As a member of the Research Institute for STEM Education (RISE) and the Spaceflight Ergonomics Research Program, her work bridges engineering education equity, cognitive ergonomics, and human-system integration. B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma Her research focuses on advancing equality and diversity in engineering education through studies on student experiences, inclusive pedagogies, and systemic reforms. Recent projects examine leadership identity in competition teams, the impact of exclusionary cultures, and adaptive learning frameworks like Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Her 15 most recent publications highlight trends in engineering self-concept , disaster response systems , mouse-mediated interaction studies , and diversity interventions . Articles frequently address educational equity, cognitive performance metrics, and human factors in technical environments.
