Dr. Stefanie Sharman is an Associate Professor and Associate Head of School (Teaching and Learning) at the School of Psychology , Deakin University . Her work focuses on memory, forensic interviewing, and training investigative interviewers. Supervision includes doctoral students researching dietary reporting accuracy, ADHD eyewitness susceptibility, and rapport-building in forensic interviews. Current and completed supervisees span topics in credibility assessment, lineup procedures, and narrative identity construction. Grants include a $1.09M contract from Queensland's Department of Justice and Attorney-General to co-design victim advocacy models, and prior ARC and WA Department of Child Protection funded projects on child witness particularisation. Professional roles include serving as Associate Editor for Legal and Criminological Psychology (2023). She has chaired cognitive psychology units at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
