Bilal Hameed, MD, FRCPC is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Neuromuscular Medicine. He provides clinical care for patients with general neurological and neuromuscular diseases with a particular focus on hereditary muscle conditions at Yale Medicine. Dr. Hameed received his medical degree from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his internship and neurology residency at the University of Massachusetts (2011 and 2014 respectively) followed by a neuromuscular fellowship at McGill University (2015). His research focuses on improving diagnosis and treatment strategies for neuromuscular disorders, with special expertise in hereditary muscle diseases such as myotonic dystrophy. His clinical practice heavily incorporates electrodiagnostic medicine, utilizing electromyography and nerve conduction studies for accurate diagnosis and management of neuromuscular conditions.
