Dr. Kate Macfarlane is a Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Computing and Mathematics, Manchester Metropolitan University. Her work focuses on applying AI and automation to solve societal challenges, particularly in ensuring safe online interactions for vulnerable users. She holds a PhD in Multi-Agent Systems for Online Safety, a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering, and a PGCE.
