Assistant Professor
Dr. Norah Lorway is an Assistant Professor at the RTA School of Media, Toronto Metropolitan University. She specializes in artificial intelligence and music research, film composition, and live coding performance. With a PhD in Computer Music & Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Birmingham, her work bridges technology, health care, and creative expression. Her research spans artificial intelligence applications in music and healthcare, digital sound design, and human-computer interaction. Key projects include developing AI assistants for dementia care with the NHS and co-creating the Scorch music programming language.
