Associate Professor
Dr. Eric K.H. Leung is an Associate Professor at the University of Liverpool Management School, specializing in Digital Business & Data Analytics. He holds editorial roles including Section Editor of the Encyclopedia of Operations Management and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Engineering Business Management. His research focuses on e-commerce logistics, AI-driven supply chain transformation, and digital twin frameworks in warehouse management. He earned his PhD from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, and previously worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Leung’s research interests include: (1) e-commerce logistics and transportation management, (2) AI’s impact on global supply chains, and (3) integration of optimization and machine learning for decision support systems. Notably, his system for warehouse order fulfillment won the Hong Kong ICT Award 2016. He teaches modules like BUSINESS SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS and leads courses on Digital Business Technology and Management. His recent publications emphasize drone delivery risks, reinforcement learning in logistics, and blockchain-IIoT integration. He has contributed to journals such as European Journal of Operational Research and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
