Senior Lecturer
Ezio Preatoni is a Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics and Motor Control at the University of Bath's Department for Health. He holds affiliations with the Centre for Health and Injury and Illness Prevention in Sport, Bath Institute for the Augmented Human, and the Centre for Bioengineering & Biomedical Technologies (CBio). His academic career includes a PhD in Bioengineering (2007) from Politecnico di Milano. Research focuses on human movement dynamics, injury mechanisms, and sports biomechanics. Key areas include footwear biomechanics, motor skill assessment, and health technologies for clinical and sport applications. He coordinates the Biomechanics Group and serves as Director of Internationalisation in the Department for Health. Recent projects include studies on wearable sensors for gait monitoring and injury prevention strategies.
