Professor Joe Finney is a faculty member at the School of Computing and Communications , Lancaster University , where he has worked since 1998. His academic career spans roles from Research Associate to Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Professor since 2019. PhD in Computer Science (1999) B.Sc. First Class Honors in Computer Science (1995) Finney's research focuses on mobile computing , embedded systems , and ubiquitous computing , using experimental methodologies to prototype novel applications.
