Daniel A. McAdams is the Robert H. Fletcher Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University and serves as the NSF Program Director of Convergent Activities. His research develops design theory and methodology with focus on functional modeling, bio-inspired design, and technology evolution. Recent publications explore applications of speculative fiction in design ideation, graph-theoretic approaches for digital twins, and automated assessment in engineering education, demonstrating cross-disciplinary innovation across design science.
