Associate Professor
Cornelia Redeker is an Associate Professor and Head of Department at the Umeå School of Architecture, Umeå University. She also serves as Directory Coordinator, leading academic and administrative initiatives. Her work focuses on sustainable urban planning, flood resilience, delta urbanism, and productive landscapes in transnational contexts like Egypt and Sweden. Research interests include adaptive water management strategies, urban flood integration, and the Water-Energy-Food Nexus. She leads projects like Designing Cycles at 64° exploring northern Sweden’s boreal landscapes and the Bauhaus Goes North initiative. Recent publications address Suez Canal urbanization, Egyptian delta challenges, and Nordic boreal-industrial landscape practices. She secured a Vinnova grant for innovative resource management research and established the School’s new doctoral program in 2024.
