Prof. Dr. Michael Rüb is a faculty member at Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, where he has held the position of Professor in Physics-Intensive Technologies and Microstructuring since 2008. He maintains affiliations with multiple institutions, including mi2-factory GmbH (which he co-founded in 2016) and previous roles at Infineon Technologies Austria AG, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, and CERN.
