Prof. Thomas Hamacher is a Full Professor of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the TUM School of Engineering and Design. He leads the Munich Institute of Integrated Materials, Energy and Process Engineering (MEP) and previously served as Director of the Munich School of Engineering (MSE). His research focuses on urban energy systems, renewable energy integration, nuclear fusion, and energy modeling methodologies. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Hamburg and has extensive experience at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics.
