Professor Andrew D Quinn is a Professor of Climate Adaptation at the University of Birmingham's Department of Civil Engineering, affiliated with the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He serves as Director of Education for the College, overseeing strategic educational initiatives including trans-national programs. His research bridges civil engineering and environmental science, focusing on infrastructure resilience to climate change, particularly in rail and transport systems. Quinn leads the Resilience Systems and Climate Action (RSCA) research group and has contributed to global frameworks like the International Union of Railways (UIC) climate adaptation guidelines.
