Lisa Durette, MD, serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine, while directing the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Board-certified in general psychiatry, child/adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine, she holds distinguished fellowships from both the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and American Psychiatric Association (APA). Her work bridges clinical practice with policy advocacy, particularly through Nevada's child psychiatry access program which connects primary care providers with psychiatric expertise statewide. Analysis of her 2016-2025 publications reveals evolving focus from clinical pharmacology (2016-2020) toward systemic solutions (2022-2025), with consistent attention to foster youth mental health and Nevada-specific service delivery challenges. Key themes include health equity in prescribing practices, child welfare system reform, and sustainable integration of psychiatric services into primary care.
