Ramy Antar Ahmed Alham is a PhD Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering Sciences at the University of Agder, Norway, specializing in mechatronics and robotics for offshore applications. His work bridges engineering sciences with practical implementations in marine environments. His academic journey includes: Current PhD in Mechatronics at University of Agder M.Sc. in Marine Robotics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) M.Sc. in Engineering of Complex Systems from Université de Toulon, France Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (top of class honors) from Assiut University, Egypt His research focuses on developing advanced systems for offshore wind energy and marine robotics, with particular emphasis on navigation reliability, fault detection in ROVs, and digital twin implementations. This interdisciplinary work integrates control theory, observer design, and mechatronic innovation to solve complex engineering challenges in harsh marine environments. His distinguished academic achievements include: Highly competitive Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Scholarship (5% acceptance rate) Top of class honors in undergraduate studies at Assiut University As a PhD Research Fellow, Alham is actively engaged in cutting-edge research but has not yet taken on formal student advising roles. His position is supported by institutional funding typical for doctoral candidates at Norwegian universities. He operates within the Department of Engineering Sciences' research ecosystem, contributing to Norway's strategic focus on offshore renewable energy technologies through his work on mechatronic systems for wind turbines and marine robotics.
