Dr. Eleri Jones is a Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Sciences at the School of Psychology and Sports Science, Bangor University, since 2014. Previously, she served as a Lecturer in Sports Psychology at the University of Glamorgan (2008-2014). Education : PhD in Sports Psychology (University of South Wales, 2013), MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology (Bangor University, 2007), BSc in Sport and Exercise Science (Liverpool John Moores University, 2006). Her research focuses on performance anxiety , mental health in athletes , and psychological development in sports. Key areas include disability sport , bilingualism in sport , and social media's impact on athlete stress . She developed the Wheelchair Imagery Ability Questionnaire to support wheelchair athletes. Recent publications analyze injury risk factors in rugby, mental well-being in cricket, and psychosocial models for athlete selection. She leads equality, diversity, and the Athena Swan award for Sports Sciences at Bangor University.
