Paul Spence is a Reader in the Department of Digital Humanities at King's College London. His research focuses on digital publishing, multilingualism in digital contexts, and the intersection of modern languages with digital culture. He leads major interdisciplinary projects totaling £5 million in funding, including the Language Acts and Worldmaking initiative. He co-ordinates the department’s PhD program and has held acting Head of Department roles. His work emphasizes disrupting digital monolingualism through projects like the Disrupting Digital Monolingualism report and co-edited volumes exploring post-pandemic language education. He teaches digital humanities methods and has extensive experience in MA program leadership. Research highlights include global digital scholarship frameworks, digital pedagogies, and multilingual DH networks.
