Paula Danskin Englis is the Charles A. Dana Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Berry College, where she leads the Entrepreneurship Program. She is a core faculty member in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, contributing to teaching, research, and student mentorship in entrepreneurship and strategic management. Her educational background includes: Ph.D. in Business Administration (Strategic Management), The University of Memphis, 2000 M.B.A., The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, 1992 B.S. in Economics (Honors), The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, 1989 A.S. in Mathematics, Chattanooga State Community College, 1987 Dr. Englis’s research centers on entrepreneurship , knowledge-intensive ventures , strategic management , and knowledge management . She explores how entrepreneurs develop global mindsets before launching, how knowledge capabilities influence corporate venturing, and how business models evolve in high-tech industries. Her work bridges theory and practice, often involving collaboration with real-world startups. The recent publications reflect a strong trend in international entrepreneurship , particularly the concept of 'born global' firms and early internationalization.
