Bo Wang is an Associate Professor at Stanford University with dual appointments in the Department of Bioengineering and the Department of Developmental Biology. He is also a member of Bio-X and the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. His research integrates developmental biology, bioengineering, and statistical physics to understand collective cell behaviors that optimize tissue regeneration, adaptation, and evolution. His research interests span systems biology of whole-body regeneration, cell type evolution through single-cell multiomic sequencing, quantitative biology of brain regeneration, and regeneration of animal-algal photosymbiotic systems. He has developed innovative tools like expansion spatial transcriptomics and quantitative organism-wide imaging approaches.
