Brandon Peterson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in the Department of World Languages & Cultures, with an adjunct appointment in Philosophy. He earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 2015. Education: BA in Theology and Mathematics (2007), MTS in Systematic Theology (2009), PhD in Systematic Theology (2015) from Notre Dame His research focuses on Christian doctrinal traditions, particularly Christology and soteriology in dialogue with philosophy. He explores the works of Karl Rahner, Thomas Aquinas, and the Second Vatican Council's impact on Jewish-Christian relations. Notable research themes include: Historical and systematic theology Patristic influences on modern theology Ecclesiology and Church reform Atonement theories across Christian thinkers Teaching areas include World Religions, Christology, Catholicism, and Jewish-Christian relations.
