Dr. Verónica Schiariti is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of Medical Sciences at University of Victoria. A physician-scientist bridging clinical research and global child health, she promotes abilities-oriented approaches using WHO's International Classification of Functioning framework. Leads development of ICF Core Sets for cerebral palsy implemented internationally. Research focuses on: Pediatric neurodevelopmental disabilities Functional assessment tools Congenital Zika outcomes Disability education resources Awards include 2018 World CP Day Award and 2015 Fred P. Sage Award for educational e-tool development. Current projects include ability-focused educational tools and Zika virus disability measurement collaborations with Brazilian/UK universities. Consultant for UNICEF/PAHO in Latin America.
