Dr. Mel Ó Cinnéide is an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin. He holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin (2001) and has over three decades of experience in academia and industry. His research focuses on automated refactoring, search-based software engineering, design patterns, and energy-efficient software development. He leads the Masters in Advanced Software Engineering program at UCD and has received multiple research grants and best paper awards. Prior to academia, he worked as a software engineer at Philips (Netherlands) and Motorola (Cork).
