Michael F. P. O'Boyle is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh's School of Informatics. He is a leading researcher in compiler technology, specializing in optimizing compilation, machine learning for compilation, and heterogeneous systems. His work addresses the critical challenges of compiling software for increasingly diverse hardware architectures in the post-Moore's Law era.
