Jin Shuanggen is a Professor at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences (since 2010) and concurrently serves as Vice-President of Henan Polytechnic University (since 2022). He holds a B.Sc. in Geodesy from Wuhan University (1999) and a Ph.D. in Geodesy from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2003). His career includes roles as Dean at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (2018–2022), Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales (2004–2005), and Professor at Bulent Ecevit University, Turkey (2014–2018). Jin's research focuses on Satellite Navigation, Space Geodesy, Remote Sensing, and Planetary Science. He has published over 500 papers (including 300+ peer-reviewed SCI articles), with 15,000+ citations and an H-index of 65 (Google Scholar). His work addresses Earth system variations, ionospheric seismology, climate change, and planetary exploration. Key projects include studies on GNSS reflected signals, seismic-ionospheric disturbances, and glacial dynamics. Jin chairs major international bodies, including Asia Oceania Geosciences Society’s Planetary Sciences division (2018–2020) and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Geosciences . He is part of global teams such as the Henan Higher Education Huang Danian Teacher Team and has organized five international conferences.
