Dr. Farzaneh Derakhshan is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), where she explores logical foundations of concurrency and develops formal methods for program verification. She earned her Ph.D. in Pure and Applied Logic from Carnegie Mellon University in 2021 under Frank Pfenning, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at CMU with Limin Jia and Stephanie Balzer.
