Manoj Mohanty is the Newmont Endowed Professor and Graduate Director at the University of Nevada, Reno, affiliated with the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering's Mining & Metallurgical Engineering Department. He has held roles including Department Chair (2017-2022), Professor at Southern Illinois University (2008-2017), and earlier academic and industry positions. His research focuses on sustainable mining practices, advanced separation technologies, and environmental remediation. Education: Ph.D. in Engineering Science (SIU Carbondale, 1997), M.S.
