Dr. Chen Liu is an Associate Dean and Professor of Business at Trinity Western University's School of Business. She holds a PhD in Finance from Queen’s University (2014) and a BBA from the University of International Business and Economics (2006). Her research focuses on corporate finance, fintech, blockchain, and entrepreneurial finance, with recent work examining green finance, gender diversity in banking, and crypto-asset valuation. Liu teaches Managerial Finance in the MBA program and was named Professor of the Year twice (2016, 2017). She co-founded TWU's Student Managed Investment Fund and has published extensively in journals like Financial Management and IEEE Internet of Things Journal . Recent studies include analyzing green finance reforms in China and evaluating the success factors of initial coin offerings (ICOs). Liu has received awards from TWU and Queen’s University for research and teaching excellence. Liu’s work bridges academia and practice, with applied projects in corporate valuation for startups and equity research. She actively contributes to professional associations like the Financial Management Association and Christian Finance Faculty Association.
