Associate Professor
Dr. Khyber Alam is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Doctor of Optometry program at The University of Western Australia (UWA). He serves on key committees including the Learning and Teaching Committee, Academic Board, and Academic Council, demonstrating leadership in higher education. With a focus on constructive alignment in curriculum design, his teaching philosophy integrates global perspectives and evidence-based methods. His research spans optometry education, public health, and ophthalmology, supported by grants from the Perth Eye Foundation.
