Joan Nogue i Font is a Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Girona , and founder-director of the Cátedra del Bosque since 2022. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts (1996-2004) and former director of the Catalan Landscape Observatory (2005-2017). A specialist in Landscape and Human Geography , he has authored and edited numerous influential works, including Nacionalismo y territorio (1998) and Geopolítica, identidad y globalización (2001).
