Lecturer
Nancy Vibarel-Rebot is a Lecturer in the Department of Sports Science within the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the University of Orléans, based at the STAPS Pole (Allée du Château, BP 6237, 45062 Orléans Cedex 2). Her research focuses on evidence-based exercise protocols for pathological populations, addressing critical gaps in clinical rehabilitation practices. Her primary research centers on hormonal and metabolic adaptations to chronic exercise in obese, post-bariatric surgery, and diabetic populations. She investigates how tailored exercise retraining programs can optimize physiological outcomes, challenging the current empirical approaches in clinical settings where standardized protocols remain undefined. This work bridges sports science with medical rehabilitation to transform exercise into a precise therapeutic tool. Dr. Vibarel-Rebot maintains intensive interdisciplinary collaborations with clinicians at Orléans Regional Hospital Center, including Sports Medicine (Dr. Amiot), Endocrinology (Dr. E. Mongeois), and Digestive and Endocrine Surgery (Drs. Piquard, Abou Mrad, Thebault), ensuring direct clinical translation of her research findings.
