Indrajit Ray is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Computer Science at Colorado State University . His research focuses on securing critical infrastructures such as electrical grids, transportation systems, telecommunications, and public health against cyberattacks. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University. Education: Ph.D. in Information Technology, George Mason University Research Interests: Cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, blockchain-based solutions in healthcare, smart contracts for policy compliance, and resilient cyber-physical systems. His work addresses global cybersecurity challenges, including estimating annual cyberattack costs at up to $10.5 trillion by 2025. Key Contributions: Published widely on topics like secure firmware updates (S-RFUP), the PIT-Cerberus framework for device tamper prevention, and blockchain applications in health insurance fraud prevention. His research also explores AI-driven defense strategies and resiliency modeling for cyber-physical systems.
