Giovanni Boero is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Engineering and the Laboratory of Microsystems 1 (LMIS1). He holds additional roles in EPFL's Doctoral College, directing the Microengineering and Microelectronics program and serving on doctoral committees. PhD, EPFL (2000) Laurea in Physics, Università di Genova (1994) His research spans nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electron spin resonance (ESR), and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) with a focus on RF/Microwave electronics, magnetic sensors, and noise analysis. He develops cryogenic, high-frequency microsystems for biomedical and quantum applications. Recent publications highlight advancements in 200 GHz integrated spectrometers, superconducting resonators, and grayscale nanopatterning techniques. His work bridges quantum sensing, nanotechnology, and microfabrication through interdisciplinary collaborations.
