Associate Professor
Ş. Nuray Akın is an Associate Professor of Economics at Özyeğin University's School of Business in Istanbul. She serves as Chairperson of the Department of Economics and holds leadership roles on the Executive Boards of the School of Business and Graduate School of Business. From 2018-2021, she directed MBA/Executive MBA programs while contributing to AACSB accreditation and Harvard Business School partnerships. Education: Ph.D. in Economics, University of Minnesota M.A. and B.A. in Economics, Boğaziçi University Research Interests: Her work bridges macroeconomics and economic theory with applications in industrial organization. Key areas include dynamic general equilibrium modeling , search theory , pricing mechanisms , risk-sharing systems , and social security design . Recent publications analyze consumer search behavior, equilibrium price distributions, and welfare implications of immigration policy.
