Katarzyna Herd is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the Division of Ethnology, Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University. As Programme Coordinator, she leads educational initiatives in cultural analysis while contributing to research on football culture, collective memory, and historical narratives in social institutions. Education: Master's in Applied Cultural Analysis (Lund University, 2013), Master's in English Culture and Society (University of Jyväskylä, Finland), and 2-year studies in English, Irish Gaelic, and Welsh languages (Catholic University of Lublin, Poland). Her research explores how Swedish football clubs use historical references to validate organizational structures and foster cultural identity. Key themes include social roles , fan engagement , and the politics of sports spaces . Recent projects examine conspiracy theories, disinformation, and the Popular Culture Research Node .
