Professor Sophie Marnette is a Professor of Medieval French Studies and Fellow of Balliol College at the University of Oxford. She holds roles such as Chair of the Sub-Faculty of French (2016–18) and Junior Proctor (2019–20). Her research integrates linguistic and philological approaches to medieval literature, focusing on narrative voice, gender discourse strategies, and intertextuality. She leads major projects on texts like La Chastelaine de Vergy and collaborates internationally on Medieval Metalepses, supported by an £800K grant.
