Cristian Candia is a researcher and academic leader at the CRiSS-LAB, School of Engineering and School of Government at Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile. He also serves as an External Faculty member at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems at Northwestern University, USA. His roles include directing the Data Science Master’s Program and leading research in computational social science and network science. Postdoctoral research at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Research focuses on computational social science, collective intelligence, network science, and their applications to education, decision-making, and social dynamics. Key tools include Lixandria (degree program recommendation system) and discolab (AI-driven constitutional text analysis platform). Current projects include FONDECYT-funded work on Collective Memory and FONDEF-funded initiatives on data-driven education decisions.
