Susanna Price is a Lecturer (Hon) at the School of Culture, History & Language, Australian National University (ANU). She also serves on the Burgmann College Council at ANU and previously held roles such as Senior Social Development Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Senior Staff at AusAID. Her work focuses on development-forced displacement and resettlement (DFDR), social impact assessment, and policy reforms in Asia-Pacific regions. Her research interests emphasize comparative analysis of DFDR with other displacement forms, livelihood reconstruction, cultural space renegotiation, and policy frameworks for minimizing marginalization risks. Key works include studies on China's social assessment manual and Indonesia's land negotiations, as well as contributions to AIIB's social risk management frameworks. Awards include the Canadian Award for International Co-operation (2000) and ADB President’s Performance Recognition Awards (2000, 2002). Her publications span 27 articles/books since 2005, addressing topics like benefit-sharing in displacement, climate change impacts on resettlement, and policy design for development resilience.
