Andy Cooper is a Professor at the University of Liverpool, leading research in organic materials and robotics. His work combines computational and experimental approaches to design materials for energy and catalysis, with emphasis on porous liquids and photocatalytic systems. He has received the Hughes Medal, RSC Interdisciplinary Prize, and ERC grants. Publications focus on antibiotic design, computational methods for defects, and charge transfer excitons. Awards include Royal Society recognition and Clarivate Highly Cited status. Research groups: Materials Chemistry, Organic Synthesis and Catalysis. Grants from EPSRC, Royal Society, and EU support autonomous materials discovery and sustainable energy projects.
