Dr. Enrique Muñoz-Mantas is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages at the University of North Dakota. He earned his Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures (Hispanic Literatures and Cultures) from the University of Florida in 2024, alongside a B.A. in Catalan Studies (University of Barcelona, 2013) and an M.D. in Education (Valencian International University, 2016). Research & Teaching Interests : Spanish and Catalan language, literature, and culture; translation studies; migration narratives; Francoist exile; postwar literature; speculative fiction; crime fiction; biopolitics; Latin American literature. His work intersects with transatlantic studies, memory theory, and trauma analysis. Publication Trends : Recent research focuses on Catalan exile narratives, biopolitical frameworks in refugee camp literature, gendered resistance in speculative fiction, and pedagogical approaches to virtual exchange. He explores hybrid identities, intertextuality, and sociohistorical contexts across Iberian and Latin American contexts.
